Project AccountantThe Penn Group of Companies (www.penngroup.net) is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Project Accountant position based at the companys headquarters in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.
Company InformationThe Company owns and manages over 1,000,000 sf of commercial real estate and hotel projects located primarily in the northeastern United States, along with eight utility-scale solar farms in Canada and Vermont. Position DescriptionThe Project Accountant will be an integral part of a small team with responsibility for daily accounting, report and analysis preparation, hospitality and lender reporting, and other assignments in support of the successful operation, growth, maintenance and development of the portfolio.
Position ResponsibilitiesThe Project Accountant will be responsible for a variety of work duties that will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform general ledger accounting transactions using Yardi and M3.Prepare financial statement write-ups both at the project and aggregated entity levels.Conduct periodic analyses for management review.Propose recommendations to management as well as evaluating potential transactions, and interact with outside auditors and tax preparers.Produce full and detailed financial statements and reports for various entities, provide all supporting documentation required by lenders and other project parties.Prepare budgets, tax and cash flow projections and financial modeling reports as needed.Other tasks as directed.
RequirementsBachelor's degree in AccountingAt least 3 years of accounting experience.Experience in a combination of commercial real estate, construction and hospitality industries.International accounting experiences a plus.Experience with construction project reporting and debt structures, budgeting and tracking financial metrics as it relates to servicing project financing debt a plus.Proficient at using Yardi accounting software and Microsoft Office.Above-average Excel skills.Strong analytical capabilities.

CompensationCompensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. It will include a base salary as well as an annual performance bonus.
