To be the first point of contact for guests in the deli department and ensure that each guest’s order is taken, fulfilled, and delivered in a manner consistent with the theme and desired experience of the Lowes Foods Deli Department.
Responsibilities Provide warm, welcoming, and friendly greetings and interactions with all guests. Assist guests with the ordering process by accurately completing order forms. Utilize the conversation process and story-selling techniques to suggest complimentary items. Complete Proactive Walks to maintain stock levels and presentation on the sales floor. Assist the deli manager in placing orders. Assist in product receiving and storage. Maintain and adhere to all health and food safety standards and regulations. Perform the functions of other deli department clerks as needed, including but not limited to those of the Bladesmith, deli clerk, or any other deli department clerk. Safely operate the meat and cheese slicers, ovens, fryers, scales, or any other equipment necessary to fulfill production needs or guest orders. Prepare deli trays and special orders as needed. Communicate guest or department issues to supervisor. Maintain neat, clean, and organized work areas which adhere to established 5S standards. Perform all other duties as assigned by management. Performs front porch duties to insure “guest arrival” standard is maintained.

5. Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
6. Must be at least 18 years old.
7. Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
