Location/Shift: Monroe, Ohio / 2nd Shift
The Press Operator, working in conjunction with the Press Feeder, assists in the production of high quality printing jobs, to meet customer and company expectations, in a cost-effective manner while meeting strict deadlines, on one of several large printing presses.
Minimum of 5 yearsâ€™ experience running a 6-color press with aqueous coating (Heidelberg Press experience preferred).

Position Specific Skills & Competencies:Complete understanding of LAB values and image control via color scanning deviceAbility to achieve proper registration, ink and water balance and maintain color balance throughout jobWorking knowledge of dot gain, proper trap, inks and coatings and how they work with a multitude of substratesAn understanding of plate curves and how they affect the CT in Â¼ tone, mid tone and Â¾ tone valuesAbility to retrieve JDF files, and to preset the CPC 2000 and set up press the most efficient wayGood eye for color and be able to match proofsKnowledge and ability to hang blankets and plates, and to pack press properlyKnowledge of the Alcolor Water System and Vario Roller Hickey Picking SystemWorking knowledge of the Technotrans Cooling and Water SystemBe able to work at a high production rate in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds on occasionAbility to operate motorized pallet jack and/or forklift (certification may be required)
Education: High school graduate/GEDAny trade experience is a plus
