We service more than 40 counties across South Georgia, including two news bureaus in the cities of Thomasville and Valdosta. JOB SUMMARYWALB in Albany, GA has an immediate opening for a full-time multi-media journalist (MMJ).We are looking for an aggressive self-starter who can shoot, write, and edit for TV and all digital platforms. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer who demonstrates sound news judgment and delivers compelling enterprise content daily. Shooting and editing experience, and an understanding of digital platforms is a must. Successful candidates will be able to perform well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES-Research, pitch, gather, shoot, write, edit, and report enterprise news stories for broadcast and digital platforms-Live reporting daily for multiple newscasts-Turn more than one news story daily-Develop and maintain sources of information and knowledge about assignments-Make regular beat checks-Computer knowledge including newsroom software (ENPS), Microsoft applications, and Internet use-Demonstrate strong editorial judgment while following journalistic ethics and libel laws-Must stay current with national and local news/weather, know what is going on in the community-Ability to maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving in a collaborative manner with co-workers, supervisors, and viewers-Ability to maintain professional and ethical conduct at the station and in the community-Be able to work well under strict deadline pressure-Work a flexible schedule but not limited to overtime, holidays, and weekends-Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
